Scott Durst brings nearly 20 years of world-class architectural and interior design experience to MCA with an emphasis on bringing visionary concepts to life through hands-on involvement and proven studio oversight. His in-depth leadership includes directing multi-faceted teams through all phases of complex projects from schematic design to construction completion.
As Vice President, Operations and a member of MCA’s Executive Leadership Team, Scott is responsible for directing and overseeing all business operations as well as strategic initiatives. He focuses on bringing innovation to enhance efficiencies, inspire teams, and achieve measurable results. He also plays a vital role in ensuring MCA’s values and mission are consistently met across the organization.
Scott’s prior experience working on prestigious properties around the globe showcases the best of his ingenious influence and design research capabilities. He served as Director of the hospitality design studio at the Gettys Group for several years where his portfolio of work includes The Boston Godfrey Hotel, Blackstone Hotel and Royal Sonesta in Chicago, and World of Wine in Portugal.
He also previously held architectural design project management positions at leading firms in London including KPF (Kohn Pedersen Fox) and PLP Architecture where he worked on master planned cities in the UAE. While living in Las Vegas, NV, he worked at Steelman Partners on hotel casino resorts worldwide.
Scott received his Bachelor of Science, Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
When he’s not working, Scott can be found rehabbing investment properties, designing wood watches, creating 3-d tree houses and Philadelphia cityscapes, sketching, and enjoying time with his twin daughter and son.
