Katie Schelinski brings nearly a decade of diverse design and project management experience to MCA. As a design Studio Lead, she leads project teams with enthusiasm and common purpose to develop impactful interiors that foster better living. Her inspirational leadership capabilities evoke innovative solutions that are rooted in MCA’s proven process. With comprehensive skills in interior design including concepting, sketching, renderings, space planning and merchandising, Katie adeptly directs project execution for results that are on time and within budget.
Katie began her tenure at MCA as in intern in 2012. Her success led to rapid advancement with increased responsibilities moving from Assistant Designer, to Project Designer, to her current role as Director | Design. Her work spans several specialty areas including model homes, multi-family projects and clubhouses. Her creative influence on the clubhouse at Hidden Village at Aberdeen, NJ earned the Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey – Community of the Year Award for Best Multi-Family/Multi-Unit Rental Community.
Katie earned her B.F.A. from Harrington College of Design and completed a semester of study at Florence University of the Arts.
When Katie is away from the design studio she enjoys traveling the globe and checking out the Chicago food scene.
