Jaben Temple

Director | Design

Jaben Temple brings a decade of diverse design experience and architectural know-how to MCA’s projects. As Director, Design, he manages a formalized design review process that is rooted in the 7 Fundamentals of Design to ensure the highest quality of all design deliverables. He also provides design direction and input to the Director of Studio Operations and collaborates with the Vison and Innovation team to guide design strategy throughout all project phases.

 

Jaben shares his ability to uniquely capture and articulate design strategy with clients during project presentations and maintains frequent communication from a project’s start to finish. His contagious passion and outgoing personality inspire teams to strive for excellence. He is active in the industry and supports the firm’s business development initiatives.

 

Since joining MCA in 2018 as a Project Designer, Jaben’s on-target designs coupled with his inherent management abilities led to his advancement as a Project Lead and his most recent role as Senior Project Designer. His concentration on multi-family projects is complemented by work on clubhouses, model homes, and student housing projects throughout several geographic markets.

 

Prior to joining MCA, Jaben served as Architectural Designer for Skidmore Owings and Merrill (S.O.M.) where he worked on a range of multi-disciplinary projects in Chicago, Asia and the Middle East. His experience included design competitions, large scale residential, mixed-use, and cultural sites, as well as commercial properties.

 

Jaben received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Ball State University and a Master of Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology.

 

His passion for trying new places, new food, and new cocktails, typically lands him out to dinner with friends when out of the office. He spends weekends with his dog at his hip exploring the city.
