Remy is a luxury apartment community offering 357 upscale residences on the charming square of Frisco, Texas. Frisco Square, a multi-generational, master planned development that spans 147 acres, serves as the backbone of this vibrant, fast-growing residential area that attracts residents seeking a sophisticated, active lifestyle with access to a variety of restaurants, specialty retail, and entertainment offerings. Its bold architectural style and soaring windows overlooking both the square and the interior pool courtyard, along with an eclectic interior aesthetic, seamlessly blends modern urban living with resort-inspired amenities.

The Challenge:

To meet burgeoning housing demand, Frisco city officials sought to collaborate with developers and designers to create residences that would contribute to the vibrancy of Frisco’s renaissance. The building’s unique style demands curbside attention with its striking curved, stone façade, impressive arches, columns, and Juliette balconies. At the same time, space planning for Remy was complex and layered due to several restrictions imposed by the city.

Height restrictions, as well as limitations on putting elements within ten feet of the curved wall, influenced all design elements including FF&E selections. The design team successfully utilized every available space in compliance with all guidelines and effectively communicated solutions through detailed schematics. The aesthetics, amenities, FF&E selections seamlessly integrate while demonstrating efficient, creative use of volumetrics, space planning and an innovative design approach.

The MCA Solution:

Remy’s location and nearby properties inspired the MCA team to develop interiors unlike those in the area. Their creative use of materials inside and out conveys an authentic “Frisco village charm.” Rich, dark colors, textures, and patterns foster a sense of social intimacy while refined, programmed amenities support residents’ diverse interests and needs.

Common areas, such as the grand lobby that boasts an inviting double-sided fireplace, monumental staircase, draw residents in and to keep them lingering longer with a comfortable yet elegant aesthetic. Flexible spaces that easily transition from daytime to nighttime use provide high levels of functionality that mirror residents’ varying interests and needs.

A coworking lounge, conference center, library, media lounge and coffee bar support residents who work remotely or want to enjoy quiet moments of rejuvenation. A theater room and entertainment kitchen allow residents to easily gather and/or host parties and events.
