About This Project

As Toll Brothers kept pace with San Ramon’s development plan for the expansion of residential areas in this expanding California community of tech and bio-gen professionals, they engaged MCA to develop models for Serena at Gale Ranch, a new community of 178 luxury, 2-story single family detached homes.

The Challenge:

The design of Serena’s model homes would need to convey a distinct look and feel within Gale Ranch while fulfilling the vision of the master-planned community to offer a high-quality lifestyle expectant of new home buyers. The highly sought out area catered to tech-savvy professionals with young families attracted to San Ramon’s award-winning schools, miles of family-friend parks and green space, a contemporary assortment of high-end amenities, on-site shopping and dining, and an 18-hole championship golf course. The models would need to reflect up-scale, contemporary living conducive to a busy, active lifestyle.

The MCA Solution:

MCA designed four unique model home styles that intuitively demonstrated how young families could effortlessly live, work and play in an atmosphere of sophisticated comfort. Each of the model’s aesthetic interiors feature sleek furnishings,  quality finishes, and highly functional floor plans that maximize adaptability for indoor spaces and extend livability to exterior gathering spaces.

The Return on Environment (R.O.E.®)

The customized approach to designing a living experience with the tech-savvy, high-achieving young family in mind distinguished the homes in other developments. The obvious functionality of the interior design sells itself with little explanation needed for how spaces can be adapted for working, studying and relaxing. Since the models opened in 2018 all but a few homes have sold. Serena at Gale Ranch home buyers achieve a desired quality of life and affordable luxury that is rare to find in the San Francisco area.
